My telegram No. 155.

There have been daily and more intensive air raids since

December Sth. On December 18th fifty-two bombs were dropped

at Sheklung on Canton-Kowloon railway. Minor damage to track

but trains are still running. On December 1st, 8th and 9th

passenger trains on Canton-Fowloon rɛilway were bombed. Several

coaches and trucks were damaged but no casualties; on December

9th and 11th locomotives of slow and express trains were

machine-gunned and damaged. No casualties. Canton-Hankow

railway has also been bombed during above period. Damage

slight. Train services resumed.
